Mobilizing nearly 40 billion VND to help Agent Orange victims in Thai Binh province - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

On the morning of April 22, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Thai Binh province held a conference to summarize the patriotic emulation movement and commend typical and advanced Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, and to express gratitude to benefactors "Joining hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange/Dioxin" in the period of 2020-2025. Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, gave a speech and presented gifts to Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.

Over the past 5 years, the emulation movement for AO/dioxin victims of the Provincial Association of AO/dioxin victims Thai Binh was launched and implemented seriously, with quality, achieving practical results, recognized and highly appreciated by Party committees, authorities at all levels and local people. The conference commended and honored many typical victims, exemplary pioneers in the emulation movements: "Building new rural areas", "All people unite to build a cultural life", actively participating in building the Fatherland Front and local socio -political organizations... Many victims of Agent Orange are not only devoted to the work of the association but also fulfill their key leadership positions in the locality and grassroots.

The whole province has more than 1,200 typical examples of Agent Orange victims who have overcome difficulties to become owners of production and business establishments, not only developing the family economy , but also creating jobs for more than 8,000 workers with stable income, including many children and grandchildren of the victims. Veterans are victims of Agent Orange. In the period 2020 - 2025, associations at all levels in the province mobilized nearly 40 billion VND to care for and help victims.

Speaking at the conference, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh praised the typical victims in the emulation movement; sincerely thanked and hoped to continue receiving the attention of the leaders of the Party Committee, government, departments, branches, unions and all levels of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Thai Binh province; thanked and expressed gratitude to organizations, individuals, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province who always cared for and accompanied the Association and the victims, contributing to the good implementation of the work of "Repaying gratitude", joining hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange.

The Central Committee of the Association awarded certificates of merit and gifts to AO victims at the conference.

On this occasion, the Central Association and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee awarded certificates of merit to 23 typical advanced individuals; the Central Association presented 50 gifts (worth 50 million VND); the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented 8 gifts (1 million VND/gift). Many organizations, individuals and philanthropists presented gifts to typical Agent Orange victims, with a total value of more than 100 million VND.
