On October 21, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that it had successfully organized the 2023 Business Dialogue Conference. The event was attended by 250 enterprises and cooperatives representing more than 12,000 enterprises and more than 700 cooperatives in the area.
The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee shared, listened, and encouraged businesses to solve their difficulties with the spirit of solving difficulties wherever they are, and solving problems at whatever level to create the best conditions for businesses.
Problems that can be solved immediately should be solved immediately. Problems that cannot be solved should be urgently researched and solutions should be proposed to resolve them promptly, effectively, and in harmony between the interests of the State and enterprises.
However, at the end of the event, from the perspective of businesses, Mr. Pham Dong Thanh - Chairman of the Dak Lak Province Young Entrepreneurs Association - expressed his opinion: "This year's event was organized by the Provincial People's Committee in a methodical manner, with many answers that met and satisfied the local business community. Due to limited time, there were still many businessmen and businesses who could not ask the provincial leaders.
But it is necessary to recognize the fact that local businesses are facing many barriers to development. For example, in the process of completing fire prevention and fighting procedures, many people have to complete documents for a long time and are fined many times, which makes them feel discouraged. Meanwhile, the standards for fire prevention and fighting for each business entity change continuously, which is very tiring.
In addition, the situation of overlapping and unsynchronized planning, many residential areas converted into land for perennial crops or land funds for investment and construction of infrastructure for large projects are also one of the main factors hindering the development of local businesses. Not to mention the cumbersome and complicated administrative procedures with too many steps, causing many businesses from other provinces to invest in the locality to "hesitate", not daring to go further". The PCI index of Dak Lak province in 2022 decreased by 26 places compared to 2021, ranking 60/63 provinces and cities".
According to Mr. Thanh, in the context of the cyclical economic recession, the confidence of businesses in Dak Lak in particular and the whole country in general has decreased. They do not want to break through and boldly invest in large projects because they are taking too many risks. For that reason, the authorities need to understand, accompany and share with the business community, improve administrative procedures, eliminate unnecessary, cumbersome intermediaries, in order to bring about stable socio-economic development.
In the first 9 months of 2023, Dak Lak province had 1,078 newly established enterprises, with a total registered charter capital of VND 8,314 billion, and 328 temporarily suspended enterprises resumed operations. To date, Dak Lak province has 12,496 operating enterprises, including 11,528 enterprises and 968 branches of enterprises outside the province registered to operate in the area. There are many newly established enterprises, but the number of temporarily suspended enterprises has also increased.
