Vietnamese-American artist Van-Anh Vanessa Vo won an Emmy award.

Using Vietnamese folk music as the foundation and combining it with Western musical instruments and genres (Jazz, rap, rock...), Van-Anh and the Blood Moon Orchestra have brought Vietnamese folk music into the American mainstream for many years.

Having won prestigious American awards such as the Emmy Award, the California State Dedication Award, and first prize in the 1995 National Tranh Competition, Van-Anh is the first Vietnamese-American artist to perform at the White House, the London Olympic Music Festival, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center many times with her band.

In a special performance in Hanoi, Van-Anh and the Blood Moon Orchestra hope to use their new folk music as a bridge to connect everyone to protect the environment, bringing hope for a better life for Gen Z and Gen Alpha generations. All proceeds from the performance will be donated to the Hanoi Youth Fund to build 10 houses for poor households in Quang Tri.

Ms. Hanh Pham, owner of Ngon Garden, said that she and artist Van-Anh have been planning a program in Hanoi. "Van Anh and the artists really want to spread traditional music as well as do something for society" - Ms. Hanh Pham said. The program was fortunate to receive support from many people. Designer Do Trinh Hoai Nam will bring a collection of Ao Dai with models who are Ambassadors living and working in Hanoi.

To create a beautiful space that inspires performers and diners, Ms. Hanh Pham combined tens of thousands of Hanoi daisies with nearly 30 fresh pine trees imported from Denmark. Vietnamese daisies combined with Danish pine trees and thousands of meters of green copper LED lights carefully wrapped around each pine tree brighten up the entire garden of Ngon Garden.

Christmas is also an occasion for family members to gather or share with the less fortunate.

"We want to create a truly different Christmas space for the people of Hanoi. Christmas is now not only a holiday for religious people but also a holiday for every family. Christmas is an occasion for family members and generations to gather together, confide in each other, share about life, work and welcome the upcoming new year. This is also the time for each of us to share with the less fortunate, the homeless, abandoned, lonely, elderly or sick... That is the meaning of the music night, when we built 10 houses for poor households in Quang Tri" - Ms. Hanh Pham added.
