Representatives of the above units highly appreciated the early fabric production process in terms of cultivation organization, electronic logging to trace the origin and trust the quality of the fabric.
Ms. Nguyen Hoang Van, General Director of the DAS Sustainable Agricultural Ecosystem Cooperative (Binh Thuan) said that on May 20, the cooperative is expected to export about 5-10 containers of Thanh Ha litchi to the US and 400 tons to Canada by air.
Earlier in April, Israeli experts will come to Thanh Ha to instruct farmers on how to preserve lychees for export. Lychees exported to these two markets must have GlobalGAP certification and be irradiated according to the regulations of the importing partner.
This is the first time the DAS Sustainable Agricultural Ecosystem Cooperative has come to Hai Duong to learn about lychee export.
The Vietnam Logistics Business Association will also support Hai Duong with preservation technology to extend the shelf life of fresh lychees and shorten customs clearance procedures.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hai Duong, in 2024, Hai Duong will have 8,850 hectares of lychee. Of which, there are 2,700 hectares of early lychee and 6,150 hectares of main-season lychee. Thanh Ha's early lychee area alone is 1,700 hectares, including white egg lychee, spiny egg lychee, pink lychee, and hybrid lychee.
Early lychee tea has a flowering rate of over 80%, many areas have set fruit. The estimated output is 35,000-40,000 tons, expected to start harvesting from May 15-20. Main-season lychee tea continues to flower, some areas have intercropped flowers.
