The Central Inspection Committee proposed to discipline two officials with moral and lifestyle degradation.

At the 29th session from June 12-15, the Central Inspection Committee considered the proposal of the Party Executive Committees of Gia Lai and Tay Ninh provinces on disciplining party members who violated the law.

The Central Inspection Commission found that Mr. Nguyen Van Du, former Party Secretary and former Director of Tay Ninh Provincial Radio and Television Station, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and tasks and implementing public investment projects.

Pursuant to Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to issue a disciplinary warning to Mr. Nguyen Van Du.

Mr. Huynh Van Tam, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Gia Lai province; Mr. Hoa Cong Hau, former member of the Provincial Party Committee, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, former Director of the Department of Health of Tay Ninh province, have degraded in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle.

These individuals also violated Party regulations and State laws in performing their assigned duties and tasks, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example, causing very serious consequences, public outrage in society, and negatively affecting the reputation of the Party organization.

The Central Inspection Committee proposed that the Secretariat consider and discipline Mr. Huynh Van Tam and Mr. Hoa Cong Hau.

Chairman of Kien Giang province Lam Minh Thanh was disciplined with a reprimand.

Considering the results of handling the accusation against Mr. Lam Minh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province, the Central Inspection Committee found that Mr. Lam Minh Thanh violated working regulations; lacked responsibility, loosened leadership and direction, allowing a number of organizations and individuals to violate Party regulations and State laws in personnel work and procurement, management, and use of biological products, chemicals, supplies, and medical equipment to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decided to discipline Mr. Lam Minh Thanh with a reprimand.

The Central Inspection Commission requested the Standing Committee of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee to lead and direct the review, consider responsibility and discipline related organizations and individuals, and report the results to the Central Inspection Commission.
