National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment: Survey on the situation of energy saving and efficiency in Long An

The working delegation of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, led by Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment - Nguyen Phuong Tuan, recently had a working session with PPJ - Thanh Chau Investment Joint Stock Company (Duc Hoa district, Long An province) on implementing solutions for energy saving and efficiency.

Also attending were members of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment ; leaders of the Department of Innovation, Green Transformation and Industrial Promotion (Ministry of Industry and Trade); Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group - Vo Quang Lam; leaders of Southern Power Corporation and Long An Power Company.

The delegation worked with the company on implementing solutions for energy saving and efficiency.

At the meeting, company representatives reported on production and business activities; solutions for energy saving, efficiency, and environmental protection as well as difficulties and challenges in implementing energy saving solutions.

The delegation highly appreciated the company's efforts in applying energy-saving solutions. The company has invested in replacing old equipment with energy-saving equipment, optimizing production processes.

In addition, the Working Group also discussed solutions to implement the State's regulations on energy use that are both economical for businesses and efficient, such as using energy-labeled equipment; using renewable energy sources; especially, periodic energy audits to assess the current state of the business's energy system, thereby identifying areas of wasteful energy use, identifying opportunities and proposing energy-saving solutions .

In addition, at the working session, the delegation surveyed the implementation of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy at the company's factories as well as the company's implementation process.
