Beltway 3 through Long An has so far achieved nearly 51% of the plan.

In 2024 alone, the Department was allocated nearly VND 2,900 billion, accounting for 58.23% of the total capital allocated to the province's projects.

Of which, Ring Road 3 through Long An with two component projects 7 (construction) and 8 (land clearance) is over 4,200 billion VND. In 2024, over 631 billion VND will be allocated. Currently, construction packages have achieved and exceeded the progress milestones required by the Government , with the implementation volume reaching nearly 51% of the plan.

The locality strives to complete the expressway section in October 2025 and the entire project in 2026. The My Yen intersection connecting to the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway project will be opened to traffic by the end of this year.

For the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 Project, the locality has completed the pre-feasibility study dossier and sent it to Ho Chi Minh City to synthesize and complete the feasibility study report for submission to competent authorities for approval.

"This is also a national key project, of special significance to Long An in particular and the provinces and cities in the region in general in promoting socio-economic development," said Mr. Tuan.

According to Mr. Tuan, Long An is focusing on implementing key traffic projects of the province such as Tan An City Belt Road, provincial roads 823D, 830E, 827E...

In particular, Tan An City Belt Road has been completed and put into operation with a total investment of over 31,000 billion VND, provincial roads 823D, 830E... are being focused on implementation.

The contractor is constructing the An Thanh overpass under the provincial road 830E project connecting Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3.

As for provincial road 827E (National Highway 50B), which is identified as the driving axis connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long An - Tien Giang, the locality is focusing on completing procedures to divide the investment into phases for the access road project and three bridges across the Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong, and Vam Co Tay rivers.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, implementing the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, Long An sets the goal of becoming a dynamic, effective and sustainable economic development center of the Southern region by 2030.

At the same time, the province is a gateway on the urban-industrial economic corridor of the Mekong Delta, closely connected with Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast region.

By 2050, the province will be the leading industrial province in the country, becoming one of the important economic growth poles of the Mekong Delta, with a development level equivalent to that of the fairly developed provinces of the Southeast region.

Therefore, along with mechanisms and policies to attract investment and train human resources, Long An will focus resources on investing in completing traffic infrastructure.

In particular, priority is given to investing in infrastructure projects with great spillover effects, especially strategic transport infrastructure, ensuring synchronization, modernity, connectivity, and promoting connectivity between the Southeast and Mekong Delta regions.
