On April 19, Binh Minh Town Medical Center sent a report to Vinh Long Province Department of Health about a food safety incident that occurred in class 2/1 of My Hoa C Primary School (My Hoa commune).

According to the verification results of My Hoa Commune Health Station and My Hoa C Primary School and the homeroom teacher of class 2/1, on the morning of April 17, 2 strangers stood in front of the school gate and gave student NMT (student of class 2/1) a plastic bag containing plastic bottles of milk tea, the quantity is unknown.
After that, T. gave the milk tea bottles to his classmates (class 2/1 has 39 students). A while later, 8 students showed symptoms of headache, stomachache, nausea and were taken to Binh Minh Town Medical Center for treatment.
The children were diagnosed with digestive disorders. By the afternoon of April 18, all eight children were in good health and were discharged from the hospital at the same time.
From the verification results and based on clinical symptoms, Binh Minh Town Medical Center believes that this is a case of digestive disorders and psychological effects on the students.
