In early 2024, Uong Bi City was assigned a total public investment capital plan of over 273 billion VND to finalize 5 completed projects; implement construction of 25 transitional projects; start 7 new projects and allocate investment preparation and planning for 7 projects. According to Resolution No. 93/NQ-HDND (dated June 5, 2024) of the Uong Bi City People's Council, the total capital plan was adjusted and supplemented to over 325 billion VND. Of which, the provincial budget is 10 billion VND, the provincial budget supports with a target of 76 billion VND and the city budget is over 239 billion VND. At the end of the first 6 months of the year, Uong Bi City completed the disbursement of over 147 billion VND, equal to 55% of the plan at the beginning of the year and 45.4% of the plan after adjustment. With this result, Uong Bi is one of the leading localities in the province in terms of disbursement progress of public investment capital in the first 6 months of 2024. In particular, many transitional projects are organized to ensure construction progress and volume to serve disbursement.
At the Yen Tu road project extending from National Highway 18A to National Highway 10 and a 10-lane road - a new gateway connecting the Yen Tu historical relic site with the Ha Long - Hai Phong expressway, National Highway 10. According to Mr. Vu Tien Dung, Deputy Director of the Uong Bi City Construction Project Management Board, with the strong leadership of the city leaders and the solutions set out with a specific roadmap by the end of the third quarter, the city strives to disburse 221 billion VND, equal to 81% of the capital plan assigned at the beginning of the year and 68% of the adjusted capital plan.
