In 2014, the European Journal of Nutrition published the results of a study on black tea consumption involving more than 8,000 participants.
8,821 men and women between the ages of 45 and 89 participated in the experiment. Scientists then found that people who drank more than 2 cups of black tea per day had lower waist circumference and body mass index (BMI) than those who drank less than 1 cup per day.
Black tea is made from the leaves of a shrub called Camellia sinensis. It contains caffeine, stimulants, and antioxidants. Black tea reduces visceral fat and can also inhibit fat absorption if consumed within 30 minutes of a meal. This is because the caffeine in black tea can also promote fat burning.

In addition, black tea also has the effect of warming the body, helping to keep the mind alert and energizing the body; rich in antioxidants, including polyphenols and catechins; can prevent cancer; enhance cardiovascular health; improve metabolism; enhance digestive health.
Some evidence also shows that drinking black tea regularly helps reduce the risk of diseases including: Diabetes, high cholesterol, kidney stones, Parkinson's disease, osteoporosis, and tooth decay.
However, the caffeine in black tea can affect sleep, so if you are prone to insomnia, drink tea before noon and avoid drinking it in the afternoon and evening.
Famous Japanese medical doctor Yuki Ishihara recommends that we can combine ginger and black tea to warm the body. You can grind about 10 grams of old ginger into a fine powder, wrap it in gauze to squeeze out the ginger juice and add about 10 drops to hot black tea. Or you can add a little honey or brown sugar.
