(Dan Tri) - In 2014, Russian girl Karina Chikitova was mentioned in international newspapers. At that time, Karina survived after nearly two weeks of being lost in the Siberian taiga forest even though she was only 4 years old.

In August 2014, Karina got lost in the woods because she secretly followed her father, but no adults in the family knew. After getting lost in the woods with the family dog, 4-year-old Karina ate wild fruits to stave off hunger and often hugged the dog Naida to keep warm.

There were bears and wolves in the forest, but Karina was lucky to not be attacked during the 12 days she was lost in the forest. When she was found, rescuers said she was lying still among the tall grass, in fact, the rescuers did not see her right away, she saw them first and raised her arms.

The girl had lost her shoes, had many mosquito bites on her body and was in a very frightened state. As soon as she was found, she asked for food and drink and burst into tears. The rescuers were very moved and also cried when they found her still healthy and conscious.

In the city of Yakutsk, a statue depicting Karina and her dog Naida was erected to commemorate the magical story with a happy ending. Many children's books have been made with the inspiration coming from Karina's true story.

At that time, Karina said: "Naida the dog saved me, I was very scared, but when I was sleepy, I hugged Naida and felt warm". When Karina met Naida again after days of being lost in the forest, she also asked the family dog: "Why did you leave me?".

In fact, the act of Naida finding her way back to the village after 10 days of being lost gave great motivation to the rescue team, making them believe that Karina was still alive and waiting to be found.

On the 10th day of being lost, the dog Naida left Karina behind to find her way back to the village alone and signal for help.

After returning home safely, Karina gradually lost many memories of her days lost in the forest. She had a normal childhood. Karina loved dancing and studied ballet from a young age. She dreamed of becoming a professional ballet dancer.

While at school, Karina was considered mature for her age, with a gentle, pleasant, intelligent and cheerful personality. Besides ballet, she also knows how to play the piano and several other musical instruments.

Karina is considered to have a talent for ballet. In addition, she is also good at cultural subjects, especially math and foreign languages.

A decade has passed since Karina got lost in the Siberian woods. Recently, Karina accepted an interview on television and shared that her current dream is to become a doctor.

Karina is no longer attending dance school, even though she was considered to have great potential.

Karina decided to leave dance school to study at another school, after changing her direction towards future studies.

According to her, to become a doctor, knowledge of natural sciences is very necessary and very important, so she wants to focus on studying to achieve the best results and at the same time be admitted to a prestigious medical school in the near future.
