
Speaking at the launching ceremony, President of Ung Hoa District Red Cross Society Nghiem Thi Thu Trang called on all cadres, members and volunteers to respond to the Humanitarian Month with the movement " Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community". The district Red Cross Society also called on businesses, organizations and philanthropists to join the Society in humanitarian activities, in order to better care for people in difficult circumstances.

The Red Cross Society of Ung Hoa district has set many targets for the humanitarian month of 2025. Continue to provide regular support to 10 households that have escaped poverty with a budget of 1 million VND/household/month; support the donation of medical equipment to Van Dinh General Hospital, in order to better support the medical examination and treatment for people in the district, support the construction and repair of new houses and humanitarian works; give livelihoods, insurance cards, medical examination and treatment, bicycles as gifts... to hundreds of people in difficult circumstances, meritorious people, veterans, victims of Agent Orange, and orphans in the district. Strive for the total mobilized budget to reach more than 400 million VND. In particular, the campaign "Millions of compassionate footsteps - Continuing the golden history", aiming to improve community health and raise charity funds, continues to be implemented in the district.

This year's humanitarian month runs from May 1 to May 31, 2025, peaking in the second and third weeks of the month.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the District Red Cross Association coordinated to organize practical humanitarian activities, such as: Donated medical equipment worth 115 million VND to Van Dinh General Hospital; supported 30 million VND for 3 humanitarian booths in the communes: Trung Tu, Dong Tan, Tram Long.; donated 10 bicycles worth 20 million VND to students in difficult circumstances who are studious; donated 20 health insurance cards to people in special circumstances; awarded 15 gifts to victims of Agent Orange...

The District People's Committee also awarded 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Charitable Tet" movement in the spring of At Ty 2025, in recognition of their positive contributions to local humanitarian work.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of the Hanoi Red Cross Society Dinh Thi Phuc highly appreciated the achievements of the Ung Hoa District Red Cross Society, and at the same time requested that all levels of the Society continue to closely follow the city's direction, linking Humanitarian Month activities with political tasks and emulation movements in the locality.

In the coming time, the Association needs to focus on socialized resources, focusing on supporting the disadvantaged, the lonely elderly, victims of Agent Orange, people with meritorious services, orphans, households with difficulties in housing, capital, means of production, with the motto "leaving no one behind"...
