Factory X46 has the business name of Hai Long Company Limited. The factory is responsible for repairing and synchronizing all kinds of combat ships, patrol boats, auxiliary ships and floating vehicles, ensuring technical equipment for ships and boats and being ready to fight and perform mobile tasks of repairing ships and boats, and technical equipment according to orders from superiors. Participate in repairing, converting and upgrading combat ships; building new types of ships and high-speed boats. Promote existing capacity and professions to produce, provide services, and do business according to functions and tasks assigned by superiors.

The staff of the Technical-Technology Department have successfully researched and manufactured an innovative device to remove, inspect, and repair the M500 clutch friction block.

According to the plan to become a shipbuilding and repair center in the Northern region, the Factory has been invested by the Navy with many new and modern equipment. The Factory's staff actively researches, promotes initiatives, and applies science and technology into practice at the Factory. Thanks to that, the Factory's technological capacity has been gradually improved.

Captain Nguyen Thu Tinh and young engineers of the Engineering and Technology Department have successfully researched and manufactured an innovative device for disassembling, inspecting and repairing the M500 clutch friction block. The innovation helps the process of repairing the M500 Diesel engine clutch assembly equipped on Navy ships and Vietnam Coast Guard ships equipped with the M500 engine line to be much faster and more convenient. “Technological machinery has been upgraded and modernized, so we must have research and innovation in technology, have new initiatives and applications to fix, repair and manufacture new ones. Realizing that, I always study and find initiatives and technical improvements to improve the efficiency of machine repair and equip technical equipment for the unit”, said Captain Nguyen Thu Tinh.

Apply the innovation of M500 clutch friction block disassembly, inspection and repair equipment into practice.

Carrying out the construction of a regular, modern Navy, the Factory has invested in many high-tech machines such as CNC cutting machines, automatic welding machines, CNC lathes... and a quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2008 standards to manage and operate production. The diesel engine power testing equipment system (with a capacity of less than 1000 horsepower) is one of the new modern equipment. This equipment has been used proficiently by engineers and workers of the Power Workshop to accurately check the parameters of engines and ship engines.

Lieutenant Colonel Dang Ngoc Toan, Manager of the Power Workshop, shared: “This system helps the Power Workshop and Factory X46 improve their diesel engine repair capacity, shorten the time for on-board acceptance, and improve capacity and reliability during the repair process.”

X46 factory is equipped with many high-tech machines.

Currently, the Factory has more than 100 comrades with university and postgraduate degrees and more than 150 workers with skills from level 5 to level 7. Many officers, engineers and workers have been trained in countries with advanced and modern shipbuilding in the world. Focusing on expanding production, improving labor value, the Factory's annual revenue has continuously increased by 8% or more, ensuring that the lives of officers, employees and workers are higher year after year.

The factory is capable of major repairs and conversions of torpedo boats and Coast Guard ships; building new patrol boats combined with offshore fishing, military transport ships with a capacity of up to 600 tons, high-speed patrol boats TT200 for the Vietnam Coast Guard... The factory's products are highly appreciated by customers in terms of quality, aesthetics, and ensuring progress to meet the requirements.

Diesel engine power testing equipment system helps shorten acceptance time, improve capacity and reliability during repair process.
