Applying technology to become green-smart in production

On the afternoon of September 12, in Ho Chi Minh City, the workshop on "Green-Smart Manufacturing" was organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) in coordination with the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop “Smart Green Manufacturing” updates trends, opportunities, and practical experiences from pioneering businesses in applying smart green manufacturing solutions in the digital economy.

The event took place with contents about smart infrastructure, smart green industrial parks, smart factories and green digital transformation, sustainable production.

Mr. Lam Quang Nam, Vice President of VINASA, Chairman of SSG Management Solutions Joint Stock Company said: “To become smart, it is necessary to apply technology. To become green-smart, it is even more necessary to apply technology”.

Creating a green-smart industrial park helps to move faster to a “green factory” that produces high-quality products and makes a positive contribution to the environment.

At the workshop, delegates introduced many effective digital platforms and solutions to help businesses quickly access the green transformation trend, take advantage of AI, IoT, and analyze business and city data towards green growth in the future.

Around the world, AIoT (a combination of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things) is creating major changes in manufacturing.

In Vietnam, Hanoi Telecom HITC Company provides AI application solutions for optimal energy system operation, notably the DEEPSYS energy saving platform, saving up to 40% energy, and the DEEPOS smart operation platform, providing automatic energy audit reports.

In order to provide a direction for the goal of green growth - sustainable development for businesses today, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thien, CEO of BEEVR Technology Company, brought to the workshop a roadmap and specific solutions for implementing greenhouse gas inventory and smart green transformation. The inventory helps businesses assess emissions, develop reduction plans, comply with the law and enhance their corporate image.

With the goal of reducing emissions by 10% by 2030 according to the Ho Chi Minh City Climate Change Action Plan for the period 2021-2030, the workshop proposed solutions to support businesses in the city in smart green transformation, sustainable approach towards society 5.0.
