The Ukrainian military said last week that its forces had raised the national flag over a strategic village but were still carrying out mopping-up operations. And today, Ukraine’s Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said: “Robotyne has been liberated.”

The village is 10 km south of the frontline town of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region on a key road towards Tokmak, a Russian-occupied road and rail hub.
The capture of Tokmak would be a key milestone for the Ukrainian army to advance south towards the Sea of Azov, in an effort to split Russian forces.

Russia has not confirmed the loss of Robotyne, however. It also said it had killed 4,855 Ukrainian soldiers in the past week, according to TASS news agency, citing data from the Russian Defense Ministry.
Specifically, this data indicates that the losses of Ukrainian forces include: 1,180 servicemen in Donetsk, 820 in Zaporizhzhia, 665 in Kupyansk, 485 in Krasny Liman and 215 in Kherson.
Also according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, since the start of the special military campaign, Russian forces have destroyed a total of 466 aircraft, 247 helicopters, 6,152 drones, 433 air defense missile systems, 11,527 tanks and other armored fighting vehicles of Ukraine.
In another development, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that Russian air defense forces shot down a drone flying toward Moscow, with no casualties or damage in the incident.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported earlier that Russian air defense forces destroyed two drones in the Bryansk Region, about 379 kilometers from Moscow.
