(Dan Tri) - Ukraine is trying to attack Russian command centers to slow down the advance of Moscow's forces on the Eastern front.

Outnumbered, outgunned and outgunned, Ukrainian forces are looking to target Russian command and control centers to thwart Moscow's offensive.
The latest Ukrainian attack on Russia's command center on the eastern front is said to have taken place on January 12.
Aerial video taken from a Ukrainian drone shows some type of deep-strike projectile – apparently a rocket, bomb or cruise missile – hitting a high-rise building in Novohrodivka, which Russia’s 2nd Guards Combined Arms Corps has turned into a makeshift command center.
"This attack was part of a series of strikes on command centers of enemy forces in the Donetsk direction," the Ukrainian General Staff reported.
Other recent Ukrainian raids have targeted the command center of Russia's 810th Naval Infantry Brigade in and around Kursk Oblast in western Russia.
There are no immediate reports of Russian military casualties in Novohrodivka. Part of a high-rise building believed to be a Russian command center appears to have collapsed in the airstrike.
Novohrodivka is on the brink of collapse as Russian troops advance on the city of Pokrovsk, a strategic fortress in Donetsk province, eastern Ukraine.
Controlling the remaining areas of devastated Pokrovsk is one of Russia's main goals, while defending the strategic city is one of Ukraine's top goals.
The deployment of Russia's 2nd Guards Combined Arms Corps in Novohrodivka is a worrying sign for the Ukrainian garrison in Pokrovsk, which is in dire need of reinforcements after a newly arrived unit - the 155th Mechanized Brigade - began to disintegrate before reaching Pokrovsk.

From Novohrodivka, the Russian military can attack Pokrovsk with almost all types of indirect fire weapons, including drones capable of short-range explosives.
However, because Russian forces were deployed near Pokrovsk, the Moscow army was also within range of the short-range weapons of the Ukrainian units stationed in Pokrovsk. Accordingly, Russian command centers were in the sights of Ukrainian forces.
As the crucial battle for Pokrovsk begins in the coming days or weeks, Russian forces, including command centers, will also move closer to the city. Both Russia and Ukraine are concentrating resources in fierce fighting for Pokrovsk.
Pokrovsk is a road and rail hub in the Donetsk region, located on a major route used by the Ukrainian army to resupply its besieged eastern outposts.
Moscow claims to have annexed the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine and sees control of Pokrovsk as an important stepping stone to integrating the entire region into Russia.
Control of the city, which Russian media describe as the "gateway to Donetsk", would allow Moscow to disrupt Ukrainian supply lines along the eastern front and push ahead with its campaign to control neighbouring areas.
