Speaking to reporters in the capital Kiev, President Zelensky affirmed: "After reaching a ceasefire, we are ready to sit at the negotiating table in any form," saying that this will contribute to promoting the process of achieving comprehensive peace for the conflict that has lasted for more than 3 years.
Any discussions on a peace deal could only take place after fighting ended, he stressed, noting that reaching any terms would not happen "overnight".

According to President Zelensky, the Ukrainian delegation will hold discussions on a full or partial ceasefire with British, French and American officials in London on April 23. This discussion follows meetings in the French capital Paris last week.
However, a US State Department spokesman said on April 22 that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will not attend the talks in London as planned. Instead, US Special Envoy for Ukraine and the Russian Federation, Mr. Keith Kellogg, will attend.
Meanwhile, the White House announced that US President Donald Trump's Special Envoy, Mr. Steve Witkoff, will travel to Russia this week to continue discussions with host country President Vladimir Putin.
On April 22, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that President Vladimir Putin once again expressed his willingness to negotiate with Ukraine.
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rubio have previously said the US could abandon mediation efforts if there is no progress in the next few days. On April 20, Mr. Trump also expressed hope that an agreement could be reached this week.
