“On the border with Ukraine, in the village of Zyabrovka in the Republic of Belarus, a military camp is being built for the Wagner private military organization. In the future, this military camp is planned to serve in simulating sabotage activities on the border with the Chernihiv region,” the agency’s website said.
CNN has not been able to verify this information.
The Zyabrovka base is located near the Belarusian city of Gomel, about 40 km from the border between Belarus and the Chernihiv region of Ukraine.
According to the agency, the military camp has a capacity of 1,000 soldiers.
The National Resistance Research Center of Ukraine said it had obtained the information from “several underground sources.”
The agency asserted that there was a “high possibility” that Belarus and Russia wanted to use the military camp to threaten neighboring European countries. These actions could then cause European countries to “reduce support for Ukraine.”
