The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Georgy Tikhy announced the above warning on the social network X.
“The Mongolian government ’s failure to comply with the ICC arrest warrant for (President) Putin is a serious blow to the credibility of the International Criminal Court and the international criminal justice system. We will work with our partners to ensure that this has consequences for Ulaanbaatar,” Tikhy stressed.
On September 2, President Putin arrived in Mongolia on a state visit at the invitation of his host counterpart Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.
The European Union (EU) expressed concern, recalling that Mongolia ratified the Rome Statute of the ICC in 2002. In March last year, the Court issued an arrest warrant for the Russian President.
* Meanwhile, Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoly Antonov has just accused Ukraine of trying to expand hostilities on Russian territory, while the US turns a blind eye to the number of Russian civilian casualties as well as the actions of the Kiev government.
"Now there is talk of expanding the scope of Ukraine's actions on the territory of the Russian Federation. Local media are reporting on Kiev's idea of drawing up a list of certain targets in our country, which they propose to strike with long-range missiles, delivered from the United States," Antonov said on the Telegram channel of the Russian Embassy.
“At the same time, no one here is embarrassed by the statistics from the Kursk and Belgorod provinces about the growing losses of Russian citizens, houses, hospitals, bridges destroyed by direct fire - including with the help of American weapons...”, Ambassador Antonov wrote.
