Provincial People's Committee launched a response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025

(binhdinh.gov.vn) - On the morning of March 14, at Quy Nhon Victory Square, the Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony to respond to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025. Attending the launching ceremony was Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang. This is an annual activity of the province to respond to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day launched by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is also the opening event for a series of activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025 of the province.

In recent times, the Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents directing provincial agencies, departments, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to implement practical measures and solutions to protect the rights of consumers in the province such as: propaganda activities, dissemination of laws; control of standard contracts, general transaction conditions. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has issued the Regulation on Coordination of State management in the protection of consumer rights in Binh Dinh province to continue directing functional forces to strengthen inspection and examination of the implementation of measures to protect consumer rights at commercial enterprises, markets, shopping centers, supermarkets; strengthen market inspection and control to prevent violations of the law in commercial business affecting the legitimate rights of consumers.

With the theme “Transparent Information - Responsible Consumption”, Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2025 affirms the significance and importance of information for the safety of consumers in the process of choosing, paying for, and using goods and services, especially in the context of increasing fraud and infringement of consumer rights in transactions in the online environment. At the same time, it calls on agencies, organizations, especially the business community, to join hands in providing accurate, complete, and timely information so that consumers can fully exercise their right to information, ensuring that they make correct and safe decisions.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang requested departments, branches and localities to proactively coordinate in managing and supervising the compliance with the law of organizations and individuals in production and business, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to proactively participate in protecting consumer rights, strictly handling violations affecting consumer rights; state management agencies and associations to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of consumer knowledge and laws to the people.

Along with that, organizations, individuals, businesses and consumers in the province actively participate in protecting consumer rights with the goal of building a healthy and sustainable business - consumer environment.

Organizations and individuals producing and trading goods and services in the province need to promote the application and development of advanced technology to produce goods and provide safe and quality services; improve business culture, respect the rights and listen to the opinions of consumers; assert themselves through the best implementation of obligations to ensure the legitimate rights of consumers, turning the needs and aspirations of consumers into competitive and development motivation for businesses.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang suggested that consumers use their right to choose effectively; choose good, environmentally friendly products from reputable businesses; be responsible to society and the community. Speak up and fight against harmful, disrespectful, and fraudulent acts of organizations and individuals buying and selling goods and providing services; and actively participate in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
