Nghe An Provincial People's Committee will organize the review of promoting the professional title of teachers from level III to level II with 897 targets.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the Project to organize the examination of promoting the professional title of teachers from grade III to grade II for public high school teachers in 2024, with 897 targets.

The purpose is to create conditions for teachers holding low-ranking professional titles to be promoted to higher-ranking professional titles in accordance with their training and current work, and to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of teachers; at the same time, meet the requirements and job positions of the unit.

The subjects of the registration for consideration of promotion of the professional title of high school teacher from grade III to grade II include: Teachers, principals, vice principals, directors, vice directors in high schools, general schools with many levels including high school, continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers, public specialized schools, within the structure, capable of taking on or working in a job position suitable for the tasks of the professional title of high school teacher grade II according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates participating in the selection process must also ensure the standards and conditions according to the provisions of Decree No. 115/2020/ND-CP dated September 25, 2020 and Decree No. 85/2023/ND-CP dated December 7, 2023 of the Government.

The Provincial People's Committee establishes a Promotion Council consisting of 5 to 7 people, with the Provincial People's Committee leader as Chairman of the Council; 2 Vice Chairmen of the Council including 1 leader of the Department of Education and Training and 1 leader of the Department of Home Affairs.

The Council members are leaders and experts of the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Home Affairs. The Council member and Secretary is a leader or expert of the Department of Organization and Personnel of the Department of Education and Training.

Nghe An Department of Education and Training is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop a plan to organize and implement the project.

Currently, in Nghe An province, there are 72 public educational institutions teaching high school education programs under the Department of Education and Training of Nghe An province; including 70 high schools, the Provincial Continuing Education Center No. 2, and the Provincial Continuing Education - Career Guidance Center.

The total number of teachers currently teaching high school education programs at public educational institutions under the Department of Education and Training is 5,209, of which: Grade I is 40 people; Grade II is 1,458 people and Grade III is 3,711 people.

The number of Grade II high school teachers lacking according to job position requirements is 1,006 people. The number of people proposed to be promoted to Grade II high school teachers in the 2023-2024 school year is 897 people.
