Provincial People's Committee: Meeting to organize the Contest to propagate the prevention of accidents, injuries, drowning and child abuse in 2024

On May 21, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting on preparations for the 2024 Contest on Propaganda for Prevention of Injuries, Drowning and Child Abuse. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

The 2024 Provincial Competition on Propaganda for Prevention of Injuries, Drowning and Child Abuse is scheduled to be held on May 28 at the Provincial Cultural Center; with more than 100 contestants from 7 teams representing 7 districts and cities in the province. The competition has 3 parts: Greeting, knowledge and skits revolving around issues of prevention of injuries, abuse, especially drowning prevention in children. The competition will be held at the district/city level, after which representatives will be sent to participate in the provincial competition in the final round. On the same day, before the competition, the Provincial People's Committee will organize the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children 2024.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is an important and meaningful contest to promote propaganda to enhance creative solutions and methods, calling for action from the whole society to join hands to protect children; at the same time, creating a useful and healthy playground for children. The contest is required to be organized effectively, with strong influence; relevant localities, departments and branches promote a high sense of responsibility, promote information and communication about the contest; equip contestants with knowledge, stage skits, build quality contest teams. The Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs coordinates with relevant units to prepare good facilities, mobilize cheerleaders, funds, means of transporting contestants... to ensure conditions for the contest to take place successfully.
