The Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report on the organization of the Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament 2024 and the Nui Chua Marathon 2024.

On February 29, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the organization of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Open Golf Tournament in 2024. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units.

According to the plan, the Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament 2024 will take place on April 13, 2024, at Anara Binh Tien Golf Course, Binh Tien Village, Cong Hai Commune (Thuan Bac) with 2 competition contents: Men's and women's individuals (with Handicap), 18-hole stroke play format and scoring according to Handicap System 36; Participants are all clubs of agencies, units, departments, branches, enterprises and those who are capable of competing in golf in the province and golf clubs in neighboring provinces. Up to now, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has worked with Binh Tien Investment and Tourism Joint Stock Company, agreed on the contents related to the organization; drafted the Charter of the Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament 2024; advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Plan to organize the Ninh Thuan Open Golf Tournament 2024.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to urgently inspect and complete the conditions of facilities to prepare for the organization of the tournament; strengthen propaganda on media channels, establish the tournament organizing committee, develop program scripts, invitations, sponsorship invitations... At the same time, mobilize golfers to participate, as well as focus on mobilizing sponsors, focusing on funding sources for prizes and competition organization.

At the meeting, the leader of Ho Chi Minh City Television Station said that in 2024, the unit proposed to coordinate with the province to organize the Nui Chua Marathon to promote the tourism image of Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve and propagate environmental protection work. The race is expected to be held in November 2024, with a scale of 1,000 people. In which, Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee is the host unit, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station has the role of communication and coordination in the organization.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the proposal to coordinate the organization of the Nui Chua Marathon by Ho Chi Minh City Television. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the event is an opportunity for the province to promote natural landscapes and attract tourists to the province, so the province agreed to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Television to implement it. Comrade Nguyen Long Bien assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Television to develop a plan to coordinate the organization of the race. Note that the plan must be detailed, specific, ensure funding, security, safety and be associated with tourism promotion activities, creating a highlight to attract tourists to the province.
