Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report on preparations for the Lunar New Year 2024

On December 19, comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to reports from sectors and localities on preparations for the 2024 Lunar New Year.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the draft overall program to organize activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring and welcome the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024. Accordingly, it is expected that there will be 16 specific activities and programs. In addition to the Tet activities held annually, in 2024, cultural activities with strong traditional features will take place, such as: Organizing Tet celebrations for ethnic minorities; art performances, film screenings, sports; spring flower gardens; visiting martyrs' cemeteries; visiting and wishing Tet; the "Humane Tet" program; art performances and fireworks to welcome the New Year... Regarding activities to care for people during Tet, the province and all levels, sectors and localities will organize activities to visit, encourage and give gifts to groups, individuals and households in the area, with an estimated 9,512 gifts. In addition, sectors and localities coordinate to organize meaningful and practical activities to care for workers, especially those in difficult circumstances.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to develop specific plans and organize activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring, anniversaries associated with cultural, artistic and sports activities, spring festivals and organize meaningful and practical tree planting festivals. Focus on ensuring the stability of essential goods, increasing the supply of Vietnamese goods to remote areas to serve people's Tet shopping. Carefully prepare conditions to ensure business activities. Closely inspect and supervise the assurance of security, food safety and hygiene, fire prevention and fighting, and environmental sanitation. Step up timely dissemination of information on activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate spring, typical individuals, as well as warnings about social evils and gambling before, during and after Tet. At the same time, we must pay attention to taking good care of Tet for policy families, meritorious people, and people in difficult circumstances, and distribute rice as soon as possible to the right people, ensuring that people have a full and happy Tet.
