On the afternoon of January 13, the Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the socio-economic, national defense and security situation in 2024. Last year, Nghe An achieved many important and comprehensive results, achieving and exceeding 27/28 planned targets. This is also the 4th consecutive year exceeding the targets of the Congress Resolution. FDI attraction reached over 1 billion 745 million USD, the highest ever, the 3rd consecutive year in the top 10 of the country in FDI attraction.

The fields of culture - society, national defense and security are firmly guaranteed; social order and safety are maintained, creating stability for socio-economic development. In particular, the National Assembly's approval of Resolution No. 137 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province is an important basis for creating conditions for the province to mobilize more resources, promote potentials and advantages, and create breakthroughs for the province's development in the coming period.
