Provincial People's Committee issues forest fire prevention and fighting plan for 2025

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan for forest fire prevention and fighting (PCCCR) in 2025 in the province. The plan aims to effectively implement PCCCR work with the motto "prevention is the main thing, timely, thorough and safe fire fighting", minimizing the risk of forest fires, minimizing damage caused by forest fires; raising the responsibility and awareness of all levels, sectors and communities about forest protection and PCCCR; proactively detecting forest fires early, preparing forces, means and equipment for PCCCR, promoting the combined strength of the whole society to participate in PCCCR activities.

The Provincial People's Committee requests all levels, sectors, and communities to identify forest fire prevention and control as an urgent, long-term task, the responsibility of all organizations and individuals, in which the primary responsibility belongs to Party committees, authorities at all levels, and forest owners. Forest fire prevention and control must take prevention as the main activity, proactively detect, prevent, and promptly handle according to the 4-on-the-spot motto; during the fire fighting process, safety must be ensured in order of priority: People, property, constructions, vehicles, and equipment participating in fire fighting. The Provincial People's Committee requests the Forest Ranger force to advise local authorities at all levels to effectively carry out forest fire prevention and control work in the management area, strengthen inspection, and handle responsibilities for organizations and individuals violating forest fire prevention and control. Forest owners must strictly carry out their responsibilities in forest protection and forest fire prevention and control according to regulations.

The plan also sets out specific contents in propaganda work; reviewing and zoning key fire areas; strengthening forces, supplementing plans, developing plans and implementing coordination regulations in fire prevention and fighting; forecasting; patrolling and inspecting for fire prevention and fighting and contents related to responsibilities for fire reporting, fire fighting, participating in fire fighting, commanding forest fire fighting; overcoming and handling consequences when forest fires occur...
