At the meeting, the People's Council of Nam Giang district unanimously passed a Resolution on the organization and apparatus arrangement of specialized agencies under the District People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs was established on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs. The Department of Culture, Science and Information was established on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of science and technology from the Department of Economics and Infrastructure. The Department of Agriculture and Environment was established on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the functions and tasks of poverty reduction from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Establish the Department of Ethnicity and Religion on the basis of receiving the functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus on religion from the Department of Internal Affairs. Establish the Department of Economy, Infrastructure, and Urban Areas on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of advising on state management on construction, transportation, and industry and trade from the Department of Economy and Infrastructure.

The Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of the district received the function of advising on state management in the fields of social protection, children and social evil prevention from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The Department of Education and Training received the function and tasks of vocational education from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

After the reorganization, Nam Giang District People's Committee has 10 specialized departments (2 departments reduced). The agencies will come into operation from February 20, 2025.
