No longer unfamiliar with the training program and tactics of Coach Troussier, the above group of players quickly integrated, caught up with and almost smoothly implemented the playing intentions of the coaching staff in the friendly match with Phu Tho Club. Thereby, 2 goals by Tran Manh Quynh and Pham Van Huu helped U23 Vietnam have their first win under new Coach Troussier.
Tran Manh Quynh is one of the talents coming from the Song Lam Nghe An training camp and has quickly shown his outstanding class in both domestic and international youth competitions. The 2001-born player's best position is left wing midfielder, moving flexibly and playing energetically.
In addition to his crossing skills, Manh Quynh also has the ability to dribble and shoot relatively well. Manh Quynh is highly appreciated by Coach Troussier. However, like his teammates, Manh Quynh has not shown much in the V-League, having only appeared 16 times since 2021.
Meanwhile, midfielder Pham Van Huu also quickly scored a goal in his reunion with coach Troussier. The midfielder currently playing for SHB Da Nang is known as the "running machine" thanks to his speed and stamina. In addition to his good ability to compete, Van Huu can also create breakthroughs with his skillful and effective personal technical qualities.
The player born in 2001 has become one of the indispensable pillars of SHB Da Nang since the 2022 V-League season, when the Han River team had to struggle with a fierce relegation race. Thanks to the experience accumulated in the domestic arena and the confidence gained from playing for the national youth team, Van Huu has emerged as the leading candidate for the midfielder position of U23 Vietnam under coach Troussier.
The current defense of U23 Vietnam is also highly appreciated by experts for its ability when possessing many players who participated in SEA Games 31 such as Quan Van Chuan, Luong Duy Cuong, Vu Tien Long, Phan Tuan Tai, Le Van Do... This group of players is considered to be the backbone of the U23 Vietnam team competing in SEA Games 32.
