On the morning of April 4, Vietnam time, U17 Vietnam had their last training session before entering the 2025 U17 Asian Cup finals. The training session mainly consisted of physical games, reducing the training load and keeping the team motivated.
At 10pm tonight, U17 Vietnam will have their opening match against U17 Australia at Okadh Stadium at 10pm. This is the first match in Group B of the 2025 AFC U17 Championship finals.
Speaking before the match, head coach Cristiano Roland affirmed that the Vietnam U17 team is ready and will approach each match with the highest determination.
“This is an important moment and we have prepared different tactics after the players have shown their abilities,” he said.
The whole team is ready for the first match. I have also considered some possible scenarios and the team has to make changes. Everything is prepared. Every match of U17 Vietnam is a final match."
Regarding the weakness of U17 Vietnam in terms of physique and height compared to its opponents, the Brazilian coach shared: "Physical physique is not the strength of U17 Vietnam. We need to focus more on high balls and set pieces.
We have prepared the players thoroughly and believe they will do well. Of course, when entering the match, each player must maintain maximum concentration throughout the 90 minutes."
