U17 DPRK crushed Indonesia 6-0

U17 Indonesia suffered a crushing defeat.

In contrast to their impressive performance in the group stage, U17 Indonesia was completely overwhelmed by U17 DPRK after the opening whistle. The East Asian representative showed superiority in both tactics and physicality.

After only 9 minutes of play, North Korea U17 opened the scoring. From a corner kick, Choe Song-hun chose the right position to shoot, defeating the Indonesian goalkeeper. In the 19th minute, Dafa Setiawarman's net shook for the second time, after a close-range shot by captain Kim Yu-jin.

In the 48th minute, Ri Kang-rim raised the score to 3-0 for North Korea. In the 60th minute, the Indonesian defense made a mistake that led to a penalty, creating conditions for Kim Tae-guk to score the 4th goal. Just 1 minute later, North Korea increased the gap to 5-0 after Ri Kang-rim soloed past 4 players and the goalkeeper.

In the 77th minute, Park Ju-won ended his opponent's nightmare day with a shot that hit the post and went into the net. The assist was provided by an Indonesian defender.

The crushing defeat saw Indonesia U17s exit the Asian Cup quarter-finals. However, Dafa and their teammates still had a memorable tournament, winning all their group matches and earning a ticket to the World Cup in November. Meanwhile, DPR Korea U17s will face Saudi Arabia in the semi-finals.
