On the evening of March 23, the U.22 Vietnam team took the field in the second match of the CFA China Team 2025 international friendly tournament, against the U.22 Uzbekistan team. In this tournament, the Central Asian team is considered to be stronger than the U.22 Korea team (tied 1-1 with U.22 Vietnam in the opening match). The U.22 Uzbekistan team even has names that were once part of the national team.
U.22 Vietnam plays confidently
Facing a highly rated opponent, the U.22 Vietnam team entered the match very confidently. Coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team created a game that was on par with the U.22 Uzbekistan team. The Vietnamese players had many attacking and finishing moves, but were not dangerous enough to trouble the opponent's goalkeeper.
On the other hand, U.22 Uzbekistan, after warming up, showed their class. The team from Central Asia continuously caused trouble for goalkeeper Cao Van Binh's goal. However, the U.22 Vietnam team played a resilient defense to keep a clean sheet before the match entered the break. The first half ended with a 0-0 draw.
