After more than 3 months of implementing the work of reviewing poor and near-poor households and identifying agricultural, forestry and fishery households with an average living standard in 2024, the results showed that the whole province still has 15,983 poor households, accounting for 3.72% (down 0.77% compared to 2023); the rate of near-poor households accounts for 3.08% (down 0.57% compared to 2023) and over 21,300 agricultural, forestry and fishery households with an average living standard.
Phuc Lai Commune, Doan Hung District develops the cultivation of four-season lemon trees on a scale of about 30 hectares, each hectare yields an average of about 20 tons of fruit/year, deducting costs and earning a profit of 300 million VND, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction.
Of which, the poverty rate in urban areas accounts for 0.8%, in rural areas accounts for 4.42%. Localities with high poverty rates include: Tan Son 12.94%; Yen Lap 8.54%; Thanh Son 7.01%... Through the results of the actual review, it is shown that the main causes of poverty are households lacking capital for production and business; no labor; families with sick, seriously ill, or accident members...
The results of the review of poor and near-poor households in 2024 in the province according to the multidimensional poverty standards for the period 2022-2025 will help localities effectively implement poverty reduction and social security support policies in the following year; at the same time, evaluate the results of the implementation of the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction of localities and the province; identify households working in agriculture, forestry and fishery with an average living standard as a basis for implementing policies according to regulations.
