VND/USD exchange rate continues to increase at many banks

The exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) this morning (April 17) was adjusted up at many commercial banks.

Specifically, at 8:46 this morning, the USD exchange rate listed at Vietcombank was 25,670 - 26,060 VND/USD (buy - sell), an increase of 30 VND in the buying direction and 60 VND in the selling direction compared to the morning of April 16.

At BIDV , the USD exchange rate also increased by 55 VND, to 25,695 - 26,055 VND/USD (buy - sell).

At VietinBank , near noon, the listed buying and selling exchange rates were at 25,684 - 26,044 VND/USD, up 174 VND/USD for buying and down 46 VND for selling compared to the update time early this morning.

On the free market in Hanoi, the USD exchange rate also increased compared to the previous session. In the early morning, the USD was traded (buying - selling) at around 26,060 - 26,180 VND/USD, down slightly by 3 VND/USD for buying and up 17 VND/USD for selling compared to the end of yesterday.

However, at the State Bank, the central exchange rate this morning decreased by 6 VND, currently at 24,893 VND/USD. With a margin of +/-5%, today's ceiling exchange rate is 26,138 VND/USD, the floor exchange rate is 23,648 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's transaction office is currently 23,705 - 26,093 VND/USD (buy - sell).
