The reference exchange rate at the State Bank of Vietnam is 23,640 - 26,022 VND/USD (buy - sell).
Banks have also raised the USD price to an all-time high. Vietcombank increased the USD buying price to 25,420 - 25,450 VND, selling price to 25,810 VND, the highest price of the day was 25,825 VND.

On the interbank market, the USD price increased by 100 VND, to 25,640 VND/USD.

On the free market, the USD price is also anchored at around 26,000 VND. Some foreign exchange points are currently buying and selling USD at around 25,810 - 25,900 VND.
In the world market, the USD Index (DXY), a measure of the greenback's strength against other major currencies, rose to 104.04 points.
The US dollar rose as the Federal Reserve said it was in no rush to cut interest rates.
Last week, the Fed, Bank of England and Bank of Japan all left interest rates unchanged after they assessed the economic impact on the US, specifically President Donald Trump's trade tariffs on global trading partners.
