Domestic gold prices reversed and decreased by 100,000-300,000 VND/tael in the opening session on the morning of February 28, the central exchange rate also continued to increase sharply by 30 VND/USD.
At 9:40 a.m., Doji Company and Phu Quy Gold Company both adjusted the buying and selling prices of SJC gold down to VND89.90-90.90 million/tael, down VND300,000/tael compared to the previous closing price.
However, Saigon Jewelry Company has not changed, currently this business is trading around 88.90-91.20 million VND/tael. The difference between buying and selling price of this brand is 2-2.3 million VND/tael.
At the same time, the price of gold rings also decreased. Bao Tin Minh Chau Company announced the price of plain round gold rings from 89.95-91.40 million VND/tael, down 300,000 VND per tael.
Phu Quy Company announced the price of plain round gold rings from 89.90-91.40 million VND/tael (buy/sell), down 100,000 VND/tael.
Similarly, the price of SJC 999.9 gold rings also decreased by VND 200,000/tael, currently trading around VND 88.90-90.80 million/tael.
In the world, the price of gold fluctuated around 2,875 USD/ounce, down 41 USD compared to the same time last session. This price is equivalent to 89.20 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank.
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on February 28 at 24,726 VND/USD, an increase of 30 VND compared to the previous session.
On the contrary, with a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate from 25,355-25,745 VND/USD (buy/sell), up 5 VND compared to the previous closing price.
On the side of Vietinbank and BIDV, businesses adjusted the USD exchange rate to 25,385-25,745 VND/USD, also up 10 VND.
Meanwhile, Eximbank traded from 25,360-25,740 VND/USD (buy/sell), up 10 VND compared to the previous session./.
