Foreign exchange rates on April 4: The central rate announced by the State Bank skyrocketed

DNVN - On the morning of April 4, the central exchange rate between VND and USD was adjusted to increase sharply, causing fluctuations at many commercial banks.

The central exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) on the morning of April 4 recorded a significant increase.

According to the latest update, the State Bank announced the central exchange rate at 24,886 VND/USD, an increase of 32 VND compared to the previous morning session.

Based on the +/-5% margin, today's ceiling and floor rates are VND26,130/USD and VND23,642/USD, respectively.

At the State Bank's transaction office, the reference exchange rate was also adjusted up to 23,692 - 26,080 VND/USD (buying - selling).

Recorded at 8:30 a.m. at commercial banks, Vietcombank quoted USD prices at 25,610 - 25,970 VND/USD (buy - sell), 40 VND higher than the morning of April 3 in both directions.

BIDV also adjusted the USD price up by 50 VND, raising the exchange rate to 25,590 - 25,950 VND/USD (buy - sell).

Regarding the Chinese Yuan (CNY), Vietcombank is currently listing it at 3,486 - 3,598 VND/CNY (buy - sell), down 2 VND and 1 VND respectively compared to the previous session.

On the contrary, the CNY exchange rate at BIDV remains unchanged at 3,501 - 3,597 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
