DNVN - On the morning of February 28, the exchange rate between the Vietnamese Dong (VND) and the US Dollar (USD) at banks tended to increase, while the exchange rate of the Chinese Yuan (CNY) continued to decrease.
At the State Bank, the central exchange rate was adjusted up by 30 VND, reaching 24,726 VND/USD. With a fluctuation range of +/-5%, the ceiling exchange rate was set at 25,962 VND/USD, while the floor rate was 23,490 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office also increased, currently at 23,512 - 25,880 VND/USD (buy - sell).
At the commercial banking system, at 8:15 this morning, Vietcombank listed the USD exchange rate at 25,350 - 25,710 VND/USD (buy - sell), unchanged from February 27. Meanwhile, BIDV recorded an increase of 45 VND in both directions, bringing the exchange rate to 25,395 - 25,755 VND/USD (buy - sell).
As for the CNY, the decline has not stopped. Vietcombank currently lists the exchange rate at 3,449 - 3,560 VND/CNY (buy - sell), down 13 VND compared to the previous day. BIDV also adjusted the exchange rate down, with a decrease of 7 VND in the buying price and 6 VND in the selling price, bringing the exchange rate down to 3,472 - 3,568 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
