This morning, April 18, the exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) at the commercial banking system recorded a slight increase compared to yesterday.
At 8:15 a.m., both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the USD exchange rate at 25,700 VND/USD for buying and 26,060 VND/USD for selling. Compared to the morning session of April 17, the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank increased by 40 VND while BIDV adjusted it up by 30 VND for both buying and selling.
At the State Bank, the central exchange rate this morning was adjusted up by 5 VND, reaching 24,898 VND/USD. With a fluctuation range of +/-5%, the current ceiling exchange rate is 26,143 VND/USD while the floor rate is 23,653 VND/USD. The reference exchange rate at the State Bank Exchange is listed at 23,699 VND/USD for buying and 26,087 VND/USD for selling.
The CNY price at Vietcombank and BIDV also recorded a slight increase this morning. Specifically, Vietcombank adjusted the price up by 2 VND in both directions, to 3,484 VND/CNY for buying and 3,595 VND/CNY for selling. Meanwhile, BIDV increased the CNY price by 4 VND in buying and 3 VND in selling compared to the morning of April 17, currently trading at 3,504 - 3,599 VND/CNY.
