DNVN - On February 18, the exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) at banks continued to be adjusted in an upward trend.
Specifically, according to the announcement from the State Bank, today's central exchange rate is listed at 24,602 VND/USD, up 25 VND compared to the morning session on February 17. With a fluctuation range of +/-5%, the ceiling exchange rate is determined to be 25,832 VND/USD while the floor exchange rate is 23,372 VND/USD. At the State Bank's Transaction Office, the reference exchange rate was also adjusted to 23,399 - 25,755 VND/USD (buy - sell).
At the commercial banking system, at 8:27 a.m., Vietcombank and BIDV both listed the USD exchange rate at 25,300 - 25,660 VND/USD (buy - sell), an increase of 80 VND in both buying and selling compared to the morning of February 17.
Meanwhile, the CNY exchange rate continued to rise. Vietcombank adjusted the listed rate to 3,453 - 3,564 VND/CNY (buy - sell), up 6 VND compared to February 17. At BIDV, the CNY exchange rate also increased by 6 VND, to 3,470 - 3,566 VND/CNY (buy - sell).
