DNVN - This morning, March 17, the exchange rate between Vietnamese Dong (VND) and US Dollar (USD) and Chinese Yuan (CNY) at banks had many opposite developments.
At the State Bank, the central exchange rate was listed at 24,794 VND/USD, 15 VND higher than the morning session on March 14. According to the +/-5% amplitude, the ceiling exchange rate reached 26,034 VND/USD, while the floor exchange rate was 23,554 VND/USD. At the same time, the reference exchange rate at the State Bank's Transaction Office was 23,571 - 25,945 VND/USD (buy - sell).
At 8:30 a.m. in the commercial banking system, Vietcombank kept the listed USD exchange rate unchanged at 25,330 - 25,690 VND/USD (buy - sell) compared to the morning of March 14. On the contrary, BIDV slightly decreased by 5 VND compared to the session at the end of last week, bringing the exchange rate to 25,340 - 25,700 VND/USD (buy - sell).
For the CNY, Vietcombank adjusted the exchange rate up by 3 VND in both buying and selling directions, raising the exchange rate to 3,469 - 3,581 VND/CNY (buying - selling). Similarly, BIDV also adjusted the exchange rate up, with an increase of 2 VND in buying direction and 3 VND in selling direction, trading at 3,488 - 3,584 VND/CNY (buying - selling).
