Vietnam team beat Laos 5-0

In the first minutes, mistakes were made in the Vietnamese defense. Van Vi's careless pass allowed Bounphachan Bounkong to enter the penalty area. Luck was on Vietnam's side when the linesman raised his flag to signal an offside by the captain of the Lao team.

In the 7th minute, the Vietnamese team had their first chance. After a high pass from his teammate, Vo Hoang Minh Khoa broke through and fired a powerful shot that went just wide of the post. Number 9 was playing with determination in his debut match for the national team.

Vietnam's continuous pressure from both sides was rewarded with the opening goal in the 11th minute. Defender No. 22 Sonevilay's effort to intercept the ball created conditions for Ngoc Quang to comfortably finish from less than 5 meters away, putting the home team ahead.

The Lao team clearly showed their confusion after conceding the third goal. In the 63rd minute, Hai Long confidently shot from the 16.5 meter mark. The ball lightly touched a white-shirted defender, changed direction and went into the net, leaving goalkeeper Lokphathip helpless. The assist was provided by Quang Hai, the player who had just entered the field at the beginning of the second half.

In the 67th minute, the Vietnamese team had another good chance. Tien Linh blocked the ball with his chest so that Hoang Duc could turn and shoot in the penalty area but was blocked by the opposing goalkeeper.

In the final minutes, the Lao players' declining physical strength made it impossible for them to keep up with the coordination of the Vietnamese team. In the 84th minute, Hoang Duc passed the ball high enough for Quang Hai to volley from close range, raising the score to 5-0 for the "Golden Star Warriors".
