Names like Dang Van Lam, Nguyen Filip, Bui Hoang Viet Anh, Nguyen Quang Hai, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Do Hung Dung, Nguyen Tuan Anh, Nguyen Tuan Hai, Nguyen Tien Linh, Nguyen Van Toan... are still considered pillars of the Vietnamese team.
Notably, central defender Que Ngoc Hai has made a comeback. In the first training session under coach Kim Sang Sik, the player from Nghe An was not called up. However, this time, the Korean coach decided to give Ngoc Hai, an experienced player in the Vietnamese national team, a chance.

According to the plan, the Vietnamese team will start training from August 30 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will have 6 days to prepare for the opening match against the Russian team at My Dinh Stadium.
According to the schedule, in the upcoming Triumvirate, the Vietnamese team will face the Russian team at 8:00 p.m. on September 5. Then, we will face Thailand at 8:00 p.m. on September 10. Interspersed between these two matches is the match between Thailand and Russia at 8:00 p.m. on September 7.
This is considered a quality test for the Vietnamese team. In particular, we have a rare opportunity to face the world's top team (ranked 33rd) like the Russian team.
