Propaganda on safe and economical use of electricity in industrial park suburbs

With the motto of "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every device", officers and employees of Viet Yen Electricity directly went to each business household to propagate and distribute leaflets recommending safe and economical ways to use electricity, and at the same time providing instructions on measures to prevent and fight fires and explosions in the use of electricity for daily life and business.

At the destinations, electricity officials not only distributed propaganda materials but also directly advised and supported people in checking and identifying safety risks in the electrical system such as old wires, overloaded sockets, damaged electrical equipment, etc. In particular, lodging businesses were instructed on how to use electricity properly and encouraged to equip protective devices such as circuit breakers and anti-electric leakage devices to prevent unfortunate incidents that may occur.

Ms. Hoang Thi Nguyen, the owner of a boarding house in Van Coc 3 residential group, Van Trung ward, shared: “I have 15 rooms for workers to rent. Thanks to the electricity workers who came to guide me, I have learned more about how to use electricity safely, especially how to rearrange the sockets and check the circuit breaker system. I have also shared the propaganda content in the workers' zalo group so that everyone can understand it.”

Not only propagating at boarding house businesses, officers and workers of Viet Yen Electricity also go to service business areas at traditional markets and residential areas with a large concentration of workers to propagate people to use electricity safely and economically.

The highlight of this propaganda campaign is that electricity officials coordinate with landlords and traders at the traditional market to use community Zalo groups to spread propaganda information to each worker and tenant. Through social networks, information recommending safe - economical - effective electricity use is updated quickly, conveniently, and easily accessible, contributing to improving communication effectiveness.

Mr. Truong Anh Mao, Director of Viet Yen Electricity, said: “Viet Yen town is a hot growth area, with many industrial parks and a large number of workers renting accommodation, so the demand for electricity is very high, with a high risk of fire and explosion if safety is not ensured. Therefore, the propaganda work on safe and economical use of electricity, fire and explosion prevention and control is always of special interest to the unit and is regularly implemented in a variety of forms. Thereby, ensuring safe use of electricity for people, first of all during the upcoming peak hot season."
