Propaganda for the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products" and recognition of illegal multi-level marketing

On the morning of August 6, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Loc district, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police, and the Provincial Market Management Department to organize a conference to disseminate the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" and signs of illegal multi-level marketing for officials, civil servants, and people of all walks of life in Vinh Loc district.

After 15 years of implementation, the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods” has received positive responses from all sectors, levels and classes of people. Enterprises have gradually improved their techniques to improve product quality. Consumers have gradually trusted the quality of Vietnamese products.

However, a part of the population is still skeptical about the quality of Vietnamese goods, because there are still many fake, toxic, and unsafe goods circulating on the market.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Industry and Trade Tran Duc Luong said that the contents disseminated at the conference will contribute to creating a new shift in people's awareness of the role, benefits and effectiveness of participating in the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods". At the same time, there will be a method of accessing updated legal information on multi-level marketing and consumer protection, helping each person protect themselves and contribute to effectively implementing the work of protecting consumer rights.

At the conference, more than 400 officials, civil servants and people in Vinh Loc district were introduced to the contents of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" associated with the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in the province.

The conference also disseminated new legal regulations related to multi-level marketing activities; how to distinguish multi-level marketing from other forms of sales; acts of taking advantage of multi-level marketing to make illegal profits and defraud consumers; sanctions and legal risks of individuals who entice and entice people to participate in disguised multi-level marketing activities.

Multi-level marketing is a modern business method, bringing high efficiency in many countries around the world . However, when implemented in Vietnam, this is a business model that is easily exploited and transformed for the purpose of fraud and property appropriation. Recently, illegal multi-level marketing activities are still taking place in some localities in the province, causing outrage among the people.

Through the conference, we aim to raise awareness and mobilize the participation of all classes of people in responding to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", developing OCOP products. At the same time, we help people promptly update knowledge about multi-level marketing, identify illegal multi-level marketing tricks to avoid unfortunate risks that may occur during the process of buying and selling goods.
