"Tan is healthy. In the past period, he played 9 matches. A player needs about 70 hours to recover, but after each match, he has to move between countries. I pray that Tan does not get injured," the head coach of Dong A Thanh Hoa said about the 2024 AFF Cup champion.

The Bulgarian coach also explained part of the reason why Doan Ngoc Tan has been able to play consistently with such a high frequency in recent times. Not only the midfielder born in 1994 but also other players of Thanh Hoa club also have good physical strength, according to coach Popov.
"Our team is well prepared physically. In each training session, the players do their best and follow the training plan. There are many training sessions where the intensity is even higher than in official matches. When we split up to compete internally, the intensity of the matches is continuous and even higher than when we meet other opponents.
That reason gives Tan a good physical foundation when he joins the national team and is one of our best players. Tan, along with Xuan Son and Dinh Trieu, are the three main, extremely important factors in the Vietnamese national team in my opinion," said coach Popov.
In the 10th round of V.League last night (January 14), Thanh Hoa club drew 1-1 with Nam Dinh at home. Joseph Mpande opened the scoring for the away team. Then, Ribamar equalized to help Thanh Hoa regain 1 point. This draw has not temporarily changed the position of the two teams. Thanh Hoa is still at the top of the table and Nam Dinh is right behind with a gap of only 1 point.
