Faced with the above situation, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong said that the Department has considered more suitable and scientific admission methods for next year. According to Mr. Tran The Cuong, Hanoi does not lack places to study and can meet 100% of the learning wishes of students who want to study in high school.

However, some schools are prestigious and provide good training, so parents want their children to study there. Currently, public schools are autonomous, private schools have the right to choose their own admission methods in accordance with the school's goals, so the Department cannot impose. However, the Department will require schools to ensure fairness in admission. In the coming time, the Department will consider implementing online admission to help reduce the burden on parents.

Regarding the opinion of many parents that Hanoi needs to build more schools, especially in inner-city districts and developing districts with large populations, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tuan, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, said that the Department has been consulting with the city on many solutions to ensure the right to study for students, while strictly implementing the plan for streaming after graduating from junior high school.

If they wish, students can choose to study grade 10 at vocational training institutions. This is a suitable choice for students who want to quickly master a profession in addition to studying culture. In recent years, the number of students participating in vocational training has increased. In the 2020-2021 school year, more than 15,000 students studied vocational training; in the 2022-2023 school year, the number of students participating in vocational training increased by more than 2,000 students compared to the previous year.

In addition, in recent years, the construction of schools in the city has also received attention. At the high school level alone, 10 new public schools have been built in the past 5 years. In the coming time, Hanoi will invest more than 25,000 billion VND to renovate and build more schools. The Department of Education and Training is consulting with the city to develop a school network plan until 2030, with a vision to 2050, ensuring that every 30,000 to 50,000 people will have 1 high school.
