Candidates prepare to enter the exam room for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted in 2022
Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, informed that more than 4,000 students registered for admission to grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. With the enrollment target of 525 students, the competition ratio is 1/8, equivalent to last year.
Candidates eligible for admission to grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted are students who have a score of 9 or higher on the final exam of grade 5 in Vietnamese and math.
In addition, candidates will take a competency assessment test on July 4, consisting of two parts: multiple choice and essay. The test content covers: language proficiency: English, Vietnamese-writing; mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences; social sciences: history-geography; common sense.
In the multiple choice part, candidates take a 20-question test in English. The content of this part is about understanding natural sciences, social sciences and common sense in life in 30 minutes.
In the essay section, candidates will take 60 minutes to complete the test. The content includes: testing English proficiency in listening, reading, and writing skills; testing math and logical thinking skills; testing reading comprehension and writing skills. Candidates will take the test in Vietnamese.
According to the announcement, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted will issue exam cards for grade 6 to candidates from June 21 to 23.
