Hanoi Grade 10 Admissions: All applications are considered simultaneously and equally

According to regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, this year's 10th grade high school entrance exam, each student can register for a maximum of 3 NVs in public high schools, ranked in order NV1, NV2, NV3.

In which, NV1 and NV2 must be in the same enrollment area, while NV3 can choose a school in any area. If the student is in a border area or needs to change the enrollment area to match the actual place of residence, parents can submit an application to change the enrollment area (the application must be confirmed by the school).

According to the regulations of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, students must submit their NV registration applications before April 18 at school. After this time, students will not be allowed to change their NV, so before choosing NV to register, many families really have to "weigh their brains" because if they choose wrong, they will "lose everything".

During this time, some parents are still concerned about the consideration of NVs for public high schools and believe that schools will prioritize considering all students who register for NV1, and only consider NV2 and NV3 if there are still quotas. This greatly affects the psychology of parents and students in placing NVs in schools.

Regarding this content, Mr. Nghiem Van Binh, Deputy Head of the Department in charge of Education Quality Management and Inspection (Hanoi Department of Education and Training) shared that there are some opinions that students are allowed to choose 3 NVs, but the following NVs will not be given priority like NV1, which is incorrect information.

"All candidates will be considered at the same time and equally, including candidates who specialize in specialized high schools (there are only 2 candidates taking the specialized exam)," said Mr. Binh.

According to Mr. Binh, Hanoi is currently divided into 12 enrollment areas as in previous years and students can change areas if they need to. "However, if students have NV to change enrollment areas, when submitting a request for confirmation from the school, teachers should discuss to ensure that students and parents have thought carefully before deciding, avoiding making the wrong choice, following friends", Mr. Binh advised.

In addition, from now until the exam, the Deputy Head of the Department of Education Management and Quality Control noted that students need to grasp the new points of the exam, the timeline; NV candidates, and the admission method. In particular, note that the scores of the 3 exams this year will not be multiplied by the coefficient, so the total admission score will change.

This year's Hanoi 10th grade entrance exam will be held on June 7-8.
