Major General Ho Ba Vinh, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association, presented the Emulation Flag to the provincial Veterans Association.

In the period of 2019-2024, the emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans" has been organized and implemented synchronously, extensively and effectively, creating motivation and arousing the sense of responsibility for each cadre and member to promote the nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", successfully and excellently complete political tasks and build a strong Association. Notably, it effectively participates in the task of building and protecting the Party, government, socialist regime and the great national unity bloc.

The cadres and members of the entire Association have promoted the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, overcoming difficulties and rising up, coordinating with the forces to effectively implement projects and programs to help each other do business, reduce poverty, improve the material and spiritual life of members, contributing to the successful implementation of national target programs of the locality and the whole country.

Associations at all levels coordinate with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and relevant agencies to propagate and educate the young generation about revolutionary ideals, traditions, and love for the homeland and country, and encourage young people to join the army. The emulation movement of the provincial Veterans Association has contributed to promoting the work of building a strong Association in terms of politics, ideology and organization, and improving the quality of the Association. 100% of grassroots Association organizations have successfully and excellently completed their tasks.

In the period of 2024 - 2029, the Provincial Association of War Veterans has agreed to set out 10 targets, 6 groups of tasks, and solutions to implement the patriotic emulation movement of exemplary war veterans. In particular, striving for 100% of cadres and members to be Party members and over 90% of members to study and thoroughly understand the Party's directives and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws; steadfast in political ideology; 100% of Association officials at all levels to receive training in Association work; increase the number of households with a good and rich standard of living by 1% compared to the total number of members; each year, the Association of War Veterans at the grassroots level builds a new economic development model owned by war veteran members; striving to basically complete the target of eliminating temporary housing and dilapidated houses for poor war veteran members by 2025...

Speaking at the Congress, Major General Ho Ba Vinh, Head of the Central Propaganda Department of the Vietnam Veterans Association, acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved in the emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" in the period of 2019-2024 of the Provincial Veterans Association. To effectively implement the goals in the coming time, he suggested that: Provincial Veterans Associations at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp, study and seriously implement the Politburo's Directive on emulation and reward work; The patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary Veterans" in the period of 2024-2029 of the Provincial Veterans Association needs to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Central Vietnam Veterans Association, of local Party committees and authorities, in conjunction with the implementation of movements and campaigns of the whole country and of the locality.

Along with that, the Association at all levels needs to have practical policies and solutions, suitable to the conditions and participation capabilities of agencies, units at each level and members in the area; continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focus on inspection, evaluation, and reward work, and pay attention to rewarding collectives and individuals at the grassroots level, in remote, isolated, and complicated areas.

Comrade Nguyen Hung Vuong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, requested that all levels of the Association continue to thoroughly grasp President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology in conjunction with implementing well the Party's guidelines and the State's laws on emulation and commendation work. At the same time, actively implement Directive No. 35 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; well perform the work of advising on association cadres to prepare for Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030 and personnel to participate in People's Council delegates at all levels, term 2026 - 2031. Continue to well implement Project 02 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, build a strong War Veterans Association in terms of politics, ideology and organization; improve the activities of the Association at all levels; build a contingent of association cadres at all levels with sufficient quantity and quality; promote the role of members in participating in activities at the grassroots level...

On this occasion, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association awarded the Emulation Flag to the collective and a Certificate of Merit to 1 individual;   The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 22 collectives and 29 individuals; the Provincial Association of War Veterans awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives and 38 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Patriotic Emulation Movement for Exemplary War Veterans in the period 2019-2024.
