Within the framework of the congress, many activities took place such as the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team Ceremony Competition and the Ho Chi Minh City "Our Team's Trumpet" Festival for the 2024-2025 school year, the "I am a soldier of the Liberation Army of Uncle Ho's city" Campaign, and the "Young Pioneers of Ho Chi Minh City" Team Day.
The event aims to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025); the 84th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team (May 15, 1941 - May 15, 2025); the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Le Van Tam Team - the first Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team in Ho Chi Minh City (May 19, 1975 - May 19, 2025).
At the congress, the City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council commended and rewarded 500 delegates of Uncle Ho's Good Children in Ho Chi Minh City in 2025, voted and introduced from more than 620,000 Uncle Ho's Good Children in the whole city.
These are excellent examples, well-behaved, good students, achieving outstanding results in studying; having strong will, overcoming difficult circumstances; excellent Team leaders and active Team members in the Team movement; young talents in the fields of sports, arts, science , creativity; examples of compassion, sharing love, helping friends and people in difficulty.
The congress also introduced typical examples of Uncle Ho's Good Children in Ho Chi Minh City from 1975-2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneer Council emphasized that practical significance and innovation are always requirements for the work of the Young Pioneers and the city's children's movement to make Young Pioneers' activities attractive, appealing and a training environment for young Pioneers.
“2025 is a very special year for the whole country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, aiming to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. In particular, the city's young team members have worked together to compete, study, and practice small but meaningful tasks throughout the campaign "I am a soldier of the Liberation Army of Uncle Ho's city", Ms. Trinh Thi Hien Tran emphasized.
Nguyen Khanh Van, a student at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, shared her feelings when participating in the congress: “I am very happy and excited to return to the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress at the city level. In 2023, I was recognized once and this year I will return to the program. As a delegate of Uncle Ho's Good Children, I think I must always follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings and strive to study well.”
Immediately after the Congress, the “I am a soldier of the Liberation Army of Uncle Ho’s city” campaign took place with a parade recreating the forces participating in the battle, contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975. The festival also organized a mock battle game recreating the offensive targets of the Liberation Army in the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, liberating Saigon on April 30, 1975, where the team members will be assigned to military wings to carry out challenges at locations simulating historical battles.
The "Being a young team member of Ho Chi Minh City" Team Festival also brings a meaningful playground for team members and children through activities such as: Exhibition with the theme "50 years - Spring flowers of the country, our team continues", Online running race "50 years - Spring flowers of the country, our team continues", Young Palm Festival 2025 and art performances recreating the joyful atmosphere of the historic victory day.
Along with that, the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team Ceremony Competition and the "Our Team's Trumpet Sound" Festival also attracted the participation of a large number of team members in the city.
